Vision
A global web of practitioners, across the world and from every walk of life, turned on to their bodies, to each other, to the sacred. Living from and as unity Awareness, and making the world from that perception.
Mission
Living Tantra transmits the nondogmatic mystic skills — trainable capacities of feeling, perceiving, and including — to meet the whole of experience, turn toward the shadow rather than around it, and recognize the effulgent reality we are already in. The teachings move through the teachers and beyond them: rooted in lineage, self-sustaining, given away into the world. The light serving the light.
How We're Built
The New Mutuality
Ardhanārīśvara stands in the old temples of the South: Śiva and Śakti sharing a single body, joined down the centerline, each half alive because of the other. We took that image off the temple wall and built a school with it.
Walk into any Living Tantra cohort and you'll find the balance in the room itself — half men, half women, practicing side by side. The same proportion holds among our teachers, and it holds in our governance, where decisions about the Institute's direction are made by masculine and feminine voices in equal measure. This is deliberate. A tradition whose central insight is union deserves an institution structured as one. Consciousness and energy, stillness and movement, each teaching the other what it cannot know alone — the new mutuality is not a doctrine we discuss on Tuesdays. It's who is sitting in the circle.
The Teacher's Role
A Witness and a Guide
Every deep practice reaches a place where a book is too quiet and a crowd is too loud. What serves in that moment is one person who has walked the terrain ahead of you: someone to witness what's moving in your body and your life, and to guide without taking hold.
This is what our certification produces. Teachers who have completed the full training are prepared to accompany students in embodiment — breath, sensation, the actual texture of a day — and in spiritual expansion, and to do it in a non-dominant way. No pedestal, no dependency. Your authority stays with you. In this lineage the teacher's art is recognition: pointing you back, again and again, to what is already awake in you. Our intention is that anyone who studies here can find, from among those who carry the certification, a witness and a guide suited to their own unfolding.
Your Ally
Christine Marie Mason

Christine Marie Mason has practiced and studied in the yogic and tantric traditions for twenty-five years, with deep roots in Kashmir Śaivism and Tamil Śaiva Siddhānta. The core of what she transmits is a living lineage — passed from teacher to student, refined over millennia in the bodies of practitioners — drawn from primary texts including the Yoga Sūtras, the Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra, the Śiva Sūtras, the Spandakārikā, the Pratyabhijñāhṛdayam, and the Tirumandiram. Around that core, she weaves a wider synthesis: ecology and ecospirituality, contemporary neuroscience, and the Christian mystical tradition, cross-referenced and tested in practice. The teaching is radically embodied — body-positive, intimacy-positive — holding that the body is not a doorway to the sacred but the sacred itself.
Teaching yoga since 2002, she trained first under her primary teacher Mark Whitwell, with further certifications through ParaYoga with Rod Stryker, Maya Yoga (500 hours, Iyengar- and Ashtanga-based) with Nicki and Eddie Modestini, and Baptiste, and continued study with senior teachers in Śaiva and Śākta Tantra, classical Indian mantra, and kirtan. She holds a certificate in the practices and philosophy of yoga from the Mattamayura Institute under Christopher Hareesh Wallis, completed five years of training with Thomas Hübl in collective, energetic, and subtle healing, and is a devotee of the modern mystic Patrick Connor at Sharmada. She holds an MBA from Kellogg and doctoral coursework in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from CIIS.
She is the founder of Rosebud Woman, the original intimate wellness company; host of The Rose Woman Podcast on love and liberation; and the author of ten books, including The Nine Lives of Woman: Sensual, Sexual and Reproductive Stages from Birth to 100, Mantra, Tantra, and Ayahuasca, Reverence: A Guide to Ritual in Modern Life, and The Mystic Heart of Easter, and Twisted: Yoga in America Since 1965. More of her writing and current offerings live at ChristineMarieMason.com. She has taught and presented around the world — from BhaktiFest and Jivamukti Berlin to the International Yoga Festival in Rishikesh — and speaks regularly on embodiment, consciousness, and the sacred feminine at gatherings including the Festival of Consciousness, the Science and Consciousness Conference, The Holomovement, The Yearn, and the Crones Summit.
A former venture-backed technology CEO and futurist, she sat with these practices for decades before understanding how to transmit them — how to build a curriculum that holds the depth of the lineage, the honesty of the synthesis, and the world we actually live in: embodied, relational, busy, beautiful, and capable of recognition. She is a mother and grandmother, and speaks English, German, and French.
